College is a time for exploring, finding who you are and figuring out what you want to do with the rest of your life. Unfortunately, during all of these explorations and realizations, often times college students lose track of their healthy habits once they start college because they become too busy and stressed out. Studies show that about 95% of college students fail to eat the correct amount of fruits and vegetables and about 60% of them don't get enough physical activity (Spain, 2014). Eating well and staying active are the two most important components for people to stay healthy, especially to reduce illnesses as serious as cancer. It is essential for college students to stay healthy because being healthy in college can set people up for a healthy future.

I have created this blog as a way for college students to learn about easy ways to stay healthy in college. There is a healthy eating section so that you all can find easy healthy meals, snacks, recipes and other information about the importance of healthy eating. The staying healthy section will offer a variety of other topics that are important to keep healthy. I hope that each of you will find useful information from my blog to keep as healthy as possible.
